• Must be able to work independently to develop Cognos Planning applications (Contributor and/or Analyst), PowerPlay cubes, and Cognos 8 reports
• 3-5 years of responsibility supporting business applications with direct customer contact
• Possesses analytical and critical thinking skills with technical problems of high complexity
• Knowledge of quality assurance and testing procedures, processes and techniques employed across various business and technical application platforms and environments
• Working knowledge with data access tools and SQL languages
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to collect information to ascertain the root cause of a complex issue and make timely decisions when recommending corrective action
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and assignments of moderate and high complexity, working tenaciously to meet or beat deadlines
• A degree in Computer Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience

Job Description:
-Developing and maintaining technical manuals, including: software administration guides, installation guides, database guide, product release notes and end user guides.
- Developing and maintaining online help system.
- Designing and writing documents using incomplete or non-final specifications.
- Collaborating with system engineers, test engineers, and product managers.
- Possess sound knowledge in Technical Writing, adept at analyzing and understanding business requirements.
- Creating effective product documentation meant for distribution by print media, online or context sensitive help.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years experience writing/editing documentation for developers, system administrators and end users.
- Experience with RoboHelp, HTML, Adobe Acrobat Professional, FrameMaker and MS Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal, writing and organizational skills are essential.
- Must be able to prioritize and balance multiple work efforts, be highly motivated, and a self-starter.
- Demonstrates well-developed writing skills, including the ability to write original material at a professional level using correct grammar and syntax.
Desired Qualifications:
- Unix and Windows experience.
- Knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of a graphics editing package.
