Without direct assistance, make the most of your ability to recognize & match patterns from different areas of comp. sci. in production systems & hone your skill in making architectural decisions. Employ your deep knowledge in at least one area: data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, comp. graphics, or human comp. interaction. Position requires a Master's degree in Comp. Sci., Comp. SW., Comp. Eng., App. Sci., Math, Physics, or related field. Position requires: 1. Skill with C, C++, C#, or Java; 2. Skill with Python, PHP, Haskell, or JavaScript; 3. Relational databases & SQL; 4. Skill with SW development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), & revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce); 5.Proficiency with *nix as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, & shell scripting; 6. Core web technologies: HTML, CSS, & JavaScript; 7. Ability to build highly-scalable performant solutions using graduate-level knowledge; 8. Design scalable distributed systems with established partition tolerance, consistency, & availability guarantees; 9. Experience in at least one specific area of expertise: Data processing, programming languages, databases, networking, operating systems, comp. graphics, or human-computer interaction; 10. Proficiency in applying algorithms & core comp. sci. concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing & matching patterns from different areas of comp. sci. in production systems, or graduate-level work in distributed systems.
